Math

This year, our math lessons will be taken from Curriculum Crafter. This curriculum is a detailed program that incorporates the common core standards. Within this curriculum, math trailblazers is implemented to further students' learning.  I look forward to trying something new and seeing the results of engaged learners! 

Math is a fun time as we learn about many things! Students play games and use interactive education learning through a website called www.educationcity.com. The interactive education website provides students with multiple learning opportunities. This website is utilized within the classroom for whole group lessons and students complete extended learning opportunities from the website.

Before each math lesson, students use their yellow math vocabulary folders. These folders have math vocabulary words that enhance students understanding of math terms. The vocabulary word is defined and then students draw a picture to help understand the word.  These folders have been used the last few months and have already made a difference in students' learning.
