Our classroom schedule

Keeping children on a routine is important. I try to keep our classroom schedule the same each day so students are comfortable and know what to expect. However, some days we get so busy that we change things around.

Here is what our schedule, typically, looks like:

8:35 - 8:45 Check in/lunch count/Daily 5 choice

8:45 - 9:00 Calendar

9:00 - 9:30 Daily 5/Round 1

9:30 - 10:30 Writing Workshop

10:30 - 10:45 Snack/Recess

10:45 - 11:15 Retell Lesson/KPAL Lesson

11:15 - 11:35 Word Work

11:35 - 12:20 Lunch/Recess

12:20 - 12:45 Bathroom/Story time

12:45 - 1:15 Daily 5/Round 2

1:15 -1:45 Social Studies/Science

1:45 - 2:30 Math

2:30 - 3:00 Music Movement (Physical Education/Music)

3:00 - 3:30 Daily 5/Round 3

3:30 - 3:47 Prepare for Home
