The Golden Rule Behavior Plan
“Treat others the way you would like to be treated.”
Please spend some time going over these rules and procedures with your child. A strong home/school connection is very important for all students to learn at their best. Students’ daily folders will serve as a communication tool between home and school. Please go over the folders every night with your child and initial the box. J
The following are examples of positive recognition that students will receive for following the Golden Rule Behavior:
Consequences for NOT following the Golden Rule Behavior:
1st time—Verbal warning, redirection and reflection
2nd time—Student will be sent away from the group for a time out, behavior clip will be moved to yellow and time for reflection of actions.
3rd time—Student will remain away from the group, loss of recess time, behavior clip moved to orange, time for reflection of actions.
4th time—Student will remain away from the group, behavior clip moved to red, loss of recess time, contact made to the home and time for reflection of actions.
Persistent negative behavior will require a conference with parents. Severe problems will be handled immediately through the office and parents will be notified.
