My name is Jacquese Miloser and I am the music teacher at Prairie Elementary School. I have been working with your child and I know this is going to be a wonderful year. I believe that each child has a talent for music in their own special way, and it is my job to help them discover their musical gifts. In order to do this, the students will be taking part in a variety of musical activities. These activities are designed to help your child develop musical skills and learn to appreciate all kinds of music. During music class, your child will learn many musical concepts through singing, listening, movement, reading, instruments, as well as game playing. Music class will also help reinforce classroom concepts such as math, science, social studies, reading, and writing. Students will experience team work skills, good sportsmanship, self-confidence, how to take turns, how to raise their hand, and how to treat others with respect.
I believe it is very valuable to work closely with parents. You are the most important part of your child's world. Because of this, I may send call or send notes home with progress reports while your student is learning behavioral skills. Please know that this is just my way of keeping you in the loop as well as bring your expertise into my classroom. Parents are always welcome to contact me at 517-265-5082 or by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a great musical year with your child.
