Dear Adrian Students and Families:

My name is Ron Jacobs, and it is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Adrian High School. AHS has enjoyed tremendous success over generations as a beacon of academic and athletic excellence. This occurred through positivity, hard work, dedication, and the partnerships that have existed between school staff, parents, community members, and most importantly, the students. I am humbled and most appreciative of the opportunity to become a member of this exceptional and most charitable community. Thank you to all who have extended a warm welcome and made learning a new building, district, and community a little easier. I am excited to get to know each and every one of you on a personal level.

My passion for education has been shaped over the past 20 years as I have worked and learned in rural, suburban and urban communities. For the last 10 years I worked as an Assistant Principal in Gibraltar. I taught Social Studies in Muskegon and I was an educator in Shiawassee County. In each of my educational roles, I was determined to ensure that all students received the best educational and extracurricular opportunities. Equally, it is my mission at AHS that all students receive an "A" quality, well-rounded education that helps prepare them for the global, 21st century workforce and the ever-changing social and technological world.

Most importantly, an "A" quality education is not possible without the partnership of students, parents, and staff in this important endeavor. Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of meeting many amazing students, parents, staff, and community members. From these meeting, I learned about Adrian's great family community, wealth of history, and pride in the district. It is with this enormous positive wave of family, history, and maple pride that I continue forward in our mission to solidify and strengthen a first class education for our students. For more information about me and our mission, you can follow me on Twitter @PrincipalJacobs. I am excited about our future!

Go Maples!
